Market Analysis- FIIs turned buyers during the week
Weekly Stock Market Analysis ( 30 Aug- 3 Sept ): Indian stock market indexes finished higher during the week ended 3 September. The Indian markets started with an optimistic note and later gained momentum due to declining covid cases, reopening businesses, positive economic data, and FIIs buying.
Weekly Stock Market Index Analysis ( 30 Aug- 3 Sept )
On a weekly basis, Sensex gained 2005.23 points or 3.57% and closed at 58129.95, while Nifty closed higher by 618.4 points or 3.70% and ended at 17323.6 levels. The Bank Nifty on the spot price was climbed by 1133.35 points or 3.18 % on a weekly basis and finished at 36761.15 levels.
The broader markets also closed higher in line with benchmark indices as Nifty midcap and smallcap indexes closed more than 4 percent higher on a weekly basis. The Nifty midcap index was jumped 1354.5 points or 4.89% and closed at 29060.05 levels. The Nifty small-cap index also gained by 406.8 points or 4.05% and ended at 10446.5 levels

Weekly Global Stock Market Analysis
The major global stock market indexes were closed mixed during the week ended 3 Sept. The US market indexes Dow closed in the red whereas S&P 500 and Nasdaq closed higher during the week despite a surge in fresh delta variants cases of Covid-19. The US employment data came on Friday, the slowdown in employment gains was confirmed by the labor department, which seemed to provoke a mixed reaction in the markets.
The European markets also closed mixed during the week ended 3 Sept. The delta variants of Covid-19 cases in the European zone have stabilized but the fatality rate is still high. Eurozone inflation accelerated more than it forecast and above ECB’s targets and economic sentiments also weaken. These created some negative sentiments in the European market during the week ended 3 Sept.
The Japanese and Chinese stock market indexes made a modest gain during the week ended 3 Sept. The major Asian markets closed positive during the week, despite a surge in coronavirus cases in several Asian countries,
Weekly FIIs and DIIs data analysis
On a weekly basis, Foreign Institutional Investors (FIIs) were the buyers whereas Domestic Institutional Investors (DIIs) were sellers in the cash market segments. FIIs bought Rs 6867.73 crores while DIIs sold Rs 1421.12 crore in the cash market segment during the week ended 3 September.
