Nifty, Sensex are trading flat ahead of CPI data, metals and pharma down

Market Live: Indian markets are trading flat ahead of CPI data, Metals, Pharma down

 

Indian Share Market Live for 12th Aug at 1.45 p.m- The markets are trading at flat notes. The Nifty and Sensex are trading marginally lower at 0.26% and 0.22% while Bank Nifty is trading at 12 points or 0.06% down.

SBI, HCL Tech, and  Eicher Motors are trading as the top gainers in the Nifty Index whereas Hindalco, Cipla, and Dr. Reddy’s lab are trading as top losers in Nifty Index.

Capital Goods, Hospitality, Aviation sectors are trading higher whereas Healthcare, Metals, and FMCG sectors are trading in the red.

On the global front, Asian markets are mostly in green and European markets are trading in flat notes. Worldwide markets are looking for fresh triggers to move ahead.  Back home in India, CPI data will be announced after the market hours today so traders are cautious ahead of the CPI data.

 

Market Live: Nifty trading below 11300 levels, Metal, Healthcare sectors are down

 

Share Market Live for 12th Aug at 10 a.m-  Indian share market opened in the red as expected due to negative global cues. The Nifty opened at 11289 made a gap down opening of 33.5 points while Sensex opened at 38321.13 a negative opening of 85.88 points. The Bank Nifty also opened in the red at 22135.95 levels down by 91.25 points.

At 10 a.m, the Nifty and Sensex are trading lower by 0.42% whereas the Bank Nifty is trading 0.29% down. The Nifty midcap and smallcap 100 indices are trading at flat notes.

SBI, Adani Ports, and Hero Motor Corp are trading as top gainers in the Nifty Index whereas Cipla, Hindalco, and Sun Pharma are trading as top losers in the Nifty Index. SBI, Reliance, and Bajaj Finance are trading as the most active stocks in the Nifty index at this hour.

Capital Goods, Automobiles, and Manufacturing sectors are trading higher whereas Metals, Healthcare and IT sectors are trading in the red at 10 a.m

 

Market Live for 12th Aug: Market may open in negative today

 

Good morning and welcome to share market live updates for 12th Aug

Market Live for 12th Aug at 8.45 a.m- Asian Markets are mostly trading in the red zone today. Nikkei is trading marginally higher by 0.17% whereas the Hang Seng index is marginally down by 0.09% today morning. The indication getting from SGX Nifty for opening Indian markets are negative. SGX Nifty is trading lower at 110 points or 0.97% today.

The US market yesterday closed lower and snap winning streak as investors are worried about the delay in the coronavirus stimulus package. Dow Index erased all early gains and slipped to 0.38% while Nasdaq was down by 1.69%. 

The European markets closed higher on 11th August as automakers gained on strong China sales data and with the hopes of steady economic recovery from the Coronavirus crisis. The CAC and DAX gained more than 2% whereas FTSE closed higher by 1.71%.

In Indian markets, yesterday Nifty and Sensex closed higher by 0.46% and 0.59% respectively. FIIs were buyers and DIIs were the seller in the cash market on 11th August. FIIs bought Rs 1013.66 cr whereas DIIs sold Rs 1415.54 cr. in the cash segment yesterday. Read more on yesterday’s market updates here

News that can influence today’s Live Market

Regarding the COVID-19 vaccine, Russia had become the first country in the world to grant regulatory approval for the vaccine. The approval has come even less than two months of human testing.

The Index of Industrial Production (IIP) data released by the government on 11th August after the market hours. India’s Industrial Output contracts 16.6% in June as compared to a 1.3% growth on YoY 

Traders should trade cautiously today as CPI data are expected after the market hours today.
