Market live: Markets are trading flat, traders are cautious ahead of CPI data

 

Market Live for 13th Aug at 1.30 PM– Indian markets erased all morning gains and are trading flat to negative. The Nifty and Sensex are trading lower at 0.06% and 0.14% respectively while Bank Nifty is trading 0.05% down.

The Nifty midcap 100 index is trading more than 1% higher while the smallcap index is trading up by 0.78%. On a global front, Asian markets are mostly in green and European markets are trading marginally down.

Hindalco, Titan, and Tata Motors are trading as the top gainers in the Nifty Index whereas Bharti Airtel, NTPC, and Sun Pharma are trading as top losers. The most active stocks are Bharti Airtel, Reliance, and Bajaj Finance.

On a sectoral basis, Infrastructure, Metals, and Automobiles are trading higher whereas Telecom, Healthcare, and Oil & Gas are trading lower at 1.30 PM. 

Market Live for 13th Aug- Markets are trading higher, IT and Metals are supporting Nifty and Sensex

 

Market Live for 13th Aug at 10 AM-Indian markets opened in a positive note as expected. The Nifty opened at 11334.85, made a gap up of 26.45 points while Sensex opened at 38456.64, made a positive opening of 87.01 points. The Bank Nifty also added 131.2 points as a gap up in the morning and opened at 22395.20.

At 10 AM, the Nifty and Sensex are trading higher at 0.35% and 0.30% respectively while Bank Nifty trading 0.62% up from yesterday’s close.

Hindalco, JSW Steel, and Adani Ports are trading as top gainers in the Nifty Index whereas NTPC, Bharti Airtel, and ITC are trading as top losers. Bharti Airtel, Reliance, and SBI are trading as the most active stocks in the Nifty today.

Metals, IT & Software and Banking & Finance are supporting the Nifty index to trade higher whereas Telecom and Automobiles are trading marginally lower

Market Live for 13th Aug at 8.45 a.m– Asian markets are trading in the green today. Nikkei is trading higher at 1.85%, while Hang Seng is flat. The indication getting from the SGX Nifty for opening Indian markets is positive. The SGX Nifty is also trading higher by 30 points or 0.27% today.

The US markets gained more than 1% yesterday as the sentiments were positive due to declining of coronavirus cases and hopes of government stimulus to support the economy. The Dow index gained 1.05%, while the Nasdaq index climbed higher by 2.13% on August 12. 

The European market closed higher yesterday as investors focused on a sign of a recovery in economic output in June while ignoring the contraction of 20.4% in the second quarter. June’s economic output grew 8.7% from May, and it was above expectations. The FTSE closed 2.04% up while CAC and DAX closed higher by 0.90% and 0.86% respectively on Wednesday.

Back home in India, the Nifty and Sensex closed flat to negative yesterday. The Nifty was down 0.12%, while Sensex closed lower by 0.10% on August 12. FIIs were the buyers, whereas DIIs are continuously selling in the market. FIIs bought Rs 351.15 cr, and DIIs sold Rs 939.67 cr in the cash market yesterday. News that can influence Live Market today

Japan’s wholesale price (CGPI) fell by 0.9% compared to the last year, and this is less than the market expected of a 1.1% drop.

The US Fed policymaker said on Wednesday that the US economic recovery would be slow until coronavirus is under control. Americans will have to manage life with the virus for at least the next several months.

The CPI for July, which expected on Wednesday, will be announced today 13th August at 5.30 PM, it postponed due to a gazetted holiday on 12th August.
