Market Live: Indices trading slightly higher, Realty, Auto gains
Stock Market Live Today 26 April 2023: Indian stock market indexes opened slightly lower on Wednesday amid negative global cues. The Nifty index opened at 17767.60, down by only 1.95 points while Sensex made a negative opening of 60087.98 levels down by 42.73 points. The domestic markets erased all early losses and are trading above their neutral lines.
The domestic markets opened slightly lower due to fresh banking tension from Wall Street. The First Republic Bank tumbled 49% after the first-quarter results announced showed a deposit hemorrhage of more than expected. The market sentiments were also downbeat due to persistent selling pressure from foreign investors.

Market Live at 12.45 pm IST, the Indian stock market indices, Sensex and Nifty are trading slightly higher by 0.23 percent and 0.18 percent respectively. The Bank Nifty is trading higher by 0.20 percent at 12.45 pm IST. The broader markets are also trading higher, as the Nifty mid and smallcap indexes are trading higher by 0.07 percent and 0.45 percent respectively.
Among the sectors, Realty, Auto and PSU Banking sectors are trading higher while the Metal, Pharma, and Energy sectors are trading in the red.
The top-gaining stocks in the Nifty 50 index are Eicher Motors, L&T, and SBI Life and the top losing stocks are Hindalco, Adani Ports, and Bajaj Auto.
The most active stocks in NSE in terms of value are ICICI Bank, HDFC Bank, and Axis Bank in terms of volume ICICI Bank, SBI, and Tata Steel
On the global front, Asian markets are trading mixed after renewed banking fears from Wall Street. Investors are looking for more corporate results and economic data from the US. European markets are likely to open in the red zone following the negative cues from US markets and Asian peers.
