Market Updates

Nifty 50 Closes Above 19,100, Sensex Gains 330 Points, Realty, Energy Sectors Lead

Sensex and Nifty 50 ended with moderate gains on Monday. The domestic markets gained amid mixed cues from Asian markets and tracking positive US futures. Indian markets opened slightly higher and after initial volatility markets extended their early gains and ended with decent gains.

The sentiments remain positive due to heavy buying in Reliance Industries, Bharti Airtel, Ultratech Cement, and Asian Paints companies’ stocks. Traders were getting encouragement, as India and the UK have reviewed the progress of negotiations of the proposed free trade agreement (FTA), talks for which have reached the final stage.

Markets also got some support from the NITI Aayog, as the central think tank, is in the advanced stages of finalizing the year-long exercise of developing a 25-year vision to make India a $30 trillion economy by 2047.
