Nifty, Sensex Up, All Sectors in Green, Realty & Metal Leading

Sensex and Nifty Today Sept 14, 2023: Indian stock market indices opened higher on Thursday, following the gains from Asian markets. The Nifty index opened higher by 57.95 points at 20127.95 levels, while Sensex also opened higher by 160.04 points at 67627.03 levels. The Bank Nifty opened positively at 103.85 points at the 46013.30 level.  

 

Sensex, Nifty Live Today 

 Market Live at 9.35 am IST, the Indian stock market indices, Sensex and Nifty are trading higher by 0.39 percent and 0.44 percent respectively. The Bank Nifty is trading higher by 0.35 percent at 9.35 IST. The broader markets are outperforming their larger peers, as the Nifty mid and smallcap indexes are trading higher by 0.99 percent and 1.30 percent respectively.

Among the sectors,  all sectoral indices are trading in the green. The leading sectors are Realty, Metal, and IT.

The top-gaining stocks in the Nifty 50 index are Hindalco, TechM, Tata Steel, UPL, and Wipro and the top losing stocks are Sun Pharma, Ultratech Cement, Britannia, Bharti Airtel, and Coal India.

The most active stocks in NSE in terms of value are HDFC Bank, Titan, and SBI, in terms of volume Tata Steel, SBI, and Power Grid.

 

Asian Stock Market Live Updates Today

The other Asian stock market indexes are trading higher on Thursday, despite the US inflation rate came higher than expected in August. Japan’s Nikkei and South Korea’s Kospi extended their early gains and are trading higher by 1.15 percent and 0.93 percent respectively.

Australia’s S&P/ASX 200 is trading higher by 0.50 percent as the unemployment rate in August held steady as per analyst’s estimates. Hang Seng erased early gains and trading marginally lower by 0.31 percent while the Shanghai index erased most of its early gains and is trading near the flat line.

Elsewhere, Straits Times, Jakarta, SET Composite, and Taiwan are also trading higher at 9.20 a.m. IST.
