Stock Market Live: Nifty trading above 17800, Sensex up 600 pts

 

Stock Market Live Updates on Union Budget 2023-24: Indian stock market indexes opened a gap-up on Wednesday tracking gains from global markets. The Nifty index opened at 17811.60 levels up by 149.45 points while Sensex made a positive opening of 451.27 points at 60001.17 levels. The domestic markets are trading with fine fettle in the morning deals as traders are optimistic about the Union Budget 2023-24.

Market Live at 11.05 am IST, the Indian stock market indices, Sensex and Nifty are trading higher by 1.01 percent and 0.96 percent respectively. The Bank Nifty is also trading up by 1.58 percent at 11.05 am IST. The broader markets are trading higher at this moment, as Nifty midcap and smallcap indexes are trading higher by 1.12 percent and 1.02 respectively at this time.

Among the sectors, Nifty Financial Services, Banking, and Realty are trading higher whereas the Energy sector is trading in the red. The gaining stocks in the Nifty 5o index at this moment are ICICI Bank, Tata Steel, and Divis Lab while the losing stocks are Adani Enterprise, Sun Pharma, and Adani Port.

Sterlite Technologies has signed an agreement to sell its telecom product software business via a business transfer agreement by way of slump sale as a going concern to Skyvera through its Indian subsidiary. The company will receive $15 million from the sale of the telecom product software business. Skyvera LLC is an affiliate of TelcoDR, which is a US-headquartered global acquirer of telecommunication software businesses. The share price of Sterlite Technologies is trading higher by 1.25% at Rs 184 per share

The share price of Indian Hotels rallies after the company’s Q3 profit jumps 403% of Rs 383 crore on YoY due to strong demand, operating performance, and topline. The company’s Revenue grew by 54% YoY to Rs 1,744 crore with both leisure and business hotels The share price of Indian hotels is trading higher above 6% at Rs 320 per share
