Stock Market Live Updates Today 21 Feb 2023: Indian stock market indexes opened higher on Tuesday as indicated by the SGX Nifty in the morning. The Nifty index opened at 17905.80 levels, up by 61.2 points while Sensex made a positive opening of 78.89 points at 60770.43 levels. The domestic markets are trading comfortably above their neutral lines at this moment.

The market sentiments got boosted as credit rating agency Acuite Ratings and Research maintained India`s gross domestic product (GDP) growth estimate for FY23 at 7 percent. However, weakness in Asian markets capped the upside, as investors reacted to weak purchasing manager index reports from Japan and Australia and kept a close eye on the latest geopolitical developments.

Investors are also concerned, as Foreign investors turned sellers in the last two sessions. The foreign institutional investors net offloaded Indian equities to the tune of Rs 159 crore on February 20. The retail inflation for farm and rural workers rose to 6.85 percent and 6.88 percent, respectively, in January, mainly due to higher prices of certain food items.
