Stock Market Today LIVE July 28, 2023: Indian stock market indices opened higher on Friday tracking the positive cues from Asian Markets. The Nifty index opened flat at 19659.75 levels, while Sensex also opened flat at 66266.35 levels. The Bank Nifty made a negative opening of 118.4 points at the 45560.90 level.

Market Live at 9.35 am IST, the Indian stock market indices, Sensex and Nifty are trading lower by 0.20 percent and 0.13 percent respectively. The Bank Nifty is trading lower by 0.56 percent at 9.30 IST. The broader markets are also trading slightly higher, as the Nifty mid and smallcap indexes are trading higher by 0.05 percent and 0.27 percent respectively.

Among the sectors, Media, FMCG, and Pharma are trading higher while Financial Services, Banks, and Metal sectors are trading lower

The top-gaining stocks in the Nifty 50 index are Dr. Reddy, Reliance, Cipla, ITC, and M&M and the top losing stocks are Bajaj Finserve, Axis Bank, Hindalco, HDFC Bank, and BPCL

The most active stocks in NSE in terms of value are HDFC Bank, Reliance, and Axis Bank in terms of volume Tata Steel, HDFC Bank, and Axis Bank.

Asian Stock Market Live Today

Asian stock market indexes mostly recovered their early losses on Friday. Nikkei is trading sharply lower ahead of the Bank of Japan (BoJ) monetary policy outcome. BoJ is expected to keep the policy rate unchanged but investors will closely monitor any signs of a shift in stance towards its yield curve control (YCC) policy.

The key Asian stock market indexes Nikkei is trading sharply lower, down over 1 percent as investors are cautious ahead of the BoJ policy outcome. Kospi erased early losses and turned positive, as industrial production climbs in June. Hang Seng and Shanghai also recovered their early losses and are trading higher at this moment (9 am IST).
