Stock Market Live: Nifty trading above 18600, Auto stocks shine
Stock Market Live: Indian stock market indexes opened a gap-up on Monday, tracking positive global cues. The Nifty index opened higher by 77.9 points at 18612 levels, while Sensex opened higher by 212.08 points at 62759.19 levels. The Bank Nifty also opened higher by 165.4 points at 44103.25 levels

Market Live at 9.30 am IST, the Indian stock market indices, Sensex and Nifty are trading higher by 0.50 percent and 0.43 percent respectively. The Bank Nifty is trading higher by 0.62 percent at 9.30 IST. The broader markets are also trading higher following their larger peers, as the Nifty mid and smallcap indexes are trading higher by 0.43 percent and 0.62 percent respectively.
Among the sectors, barring IT all sectoral indices are trading in the green. The sectors that are leading are Media, Auto, Financial Services, and Bank.
The top-gaining stocks in the Nifty 50 index are M&M, Axis Bank, Tata Motors, Power Grid, and ICICI Bank and the top losing stocks are Divis Lab, TechM, Cipla, Asian Paints, Coal India, and Eicher Motors
The most active stocks in NSE in terms of value are Axis Bank, M&M, and Tata Motors in terms of volume Tata Steel, Coal India, and Tata Motors.
Global Stock Market Live Updates
On the global front, Asian markets are trading higher tracking positive cues from the US markets. Nikkei is trading around 2 percent higher as Japan’s service activity expands at a record pace in May. Almost all key indices in the region are trading in the green on Monday.
The US future indexes are trading mixed at this moment, Dow Future is trading slightly higher while Nasdaq Future is trading marginally lower at 9.30 am IST. Crude oil prices are trading more than 1% higher after Sudi Arabia decided to production cut in July.
