Stock Market Live Today 10 April 2023: The Indian stock markets opened higher on Monday following the positive global cues. The Nifty index opened higher by 35.75 points at 17634.90 levels while Sensex made a positive opening of 26.01 points at 59858.98 levels.

Domestic equity market indices are trading above their neutral lines with decent gains. The upside remains capped as investors are cautious ahead of earnings season that will kick start with TCS reporting its quarterly numbers on April 12. Investors are also concerned as Monsoon is expected to be below normal to the tune of 94 percent as per Skymet.

Traders were also restrained from taking any long position ahead of upcoming macro-economic IIP data, CPI & WPI inflation, and exports & imports for more directional cues.

However, the markets are trading on positive territory as Commerce and industry minister Piyush Goyal said India`s merchandise exports touched $447 billion in FY23, up from $442 billion in FY22. This would translate into a 6 percent year-on-year jump in exports.
