Indian Stock Market Live 10 Dec- Sensex and Nifty are trading lower

 

It was a negative start for the Indian stock market today. Nifty opened at 13488.50 levels, down 40.6 points from the previous close while Sensex made a gap down opening of 104.08 points and opened at 45999.42 level. The Bank Nifty on the spot level also opened negative at 30545.35, down by 164.05 points from yesterday’s close.

At 9.50 am IST, Nifty and Sensex are trading lower by 0.82% and 0.73% respectively while Bank Nifty on the spot level is trading 0.82% down.

Maruti Suzuki, Nestle, and Titan Company are trading as the top gainers in the Nifty index whereas UPL, Tata Motors, and Ultratech Cement are trading as top losers. UPL, Reliance, and Maruti Suzuki are trading as the most active stock in the NSE.

On a sectoral front, all major sectors are trading lower today, Metals, Banks, and Consumer Durable sectors are top losers at this moment.

 

Asian markets cue indicates a flat to negative opening for the Indian stock markets today

Asian markets are mostly trading in the red today. Nikkei and Hang Seng are trading lower 0.35% and 0.46% respectively while Shanghai is trading flat. The SGX Nifty is trading lower by 58 points at this moment. The Asian market cue indicates a flat to negative opening for the Indian stock market today.

Profit booking seen in the US markets at a record high level on Wednesday as investors were cautious ahead of the negotiation in Washington over the new stimulus package. The US market indices Dow and S&P500 declined 0.35% and 0.79% respectively while Nasdaq closed lower by 1.94% on Wednesday.

European markets mostly closed higher on Wednesday as global markets rallied on optimism around progress in Coronavirus Vaccine. Some optimism also added after UK Brexit supremo Michael Gove sounded hopeful of a compromise on finishing in Brexit trade talks. 

However, the market gains capped on the higher side as German exports rose less than expected in October. The European indices FTSE and DAX closed higher by 0.08% and 0.47% respectively while CAC closed lower by 0.25% on Wednesday.

The Indian stock markets closed at a record high on Wednesday. Nifty and Sensex jumped 1.02% and 1.09% respectively on 9 December. FIIs were the buyers and DIIs were the sellers in the cash market segments on Wednesday. FIIs bought Rs 3564.23 crore while DIIs sold Rs 2493.1 crore in the cash market on Wednesday 9 December.

A Japanese Brokerage and research firm Nomura forecasted that India to be the fastest-growing Asian economy in 2021. The foreign brokerage house expects that India’s GDP to grow at 9.9% in 2021 ahead of China which is expected to grow at 9% in 2021.
