Stock Market LIVE Today : Sensex and Nifty Surge, All Sectors in the Green

 

Stock Market LIVE Today, 27 October 2023: Indian stock market indexes opened higher on Friday after a heavy selloff in the previous session. The domestic markets are trading in the green territory following gains from Asian peers. 

Nifty today opened higher by 71.5 points at the 18928.75 level, while Sensex made a positive opening of 411.17 points at the 63559.32 level. The Bank Nifty index also made a higher opening of 275.45 points at the 42555.60 level.

Market Live at 9.35 am IST, the Indian stock market indices, Sensex and Nifty are trading higher by 0.76 percent and 0.74 percent respectively. The Bank Nifty is trading higher by 0.88 percent at 9.35 a.m. IST. The broader markets are outperforming their larger peers, as the Nifty mid and smallcap indexes are trading higher by 1.64 percent and 1.97 percent respectively.

Among the sectors, all sectoral indices are trading in the green. The leading sectors are PSU Bank, Realty, and Energy.

The top-gaining stocks in the Nifty 50 index are NTPC, Adani Enterprise, M&M, Apollo Hospital, and Coal India and the top losing stocks in the Nifty 50 index are Asian Paints and ITC.

The most active stocks in NSE in terms of value are HDFC Bank, ITC, and Axis Bank, and in terms of volume are ITC, Tata Steel, and HDFC Bank.

 

Asian Stock Market Live Updates Today

 

The other Asian stock market indexes bounced back on Friday after a heavy selloff witnessed during the week. Australia’s S&P ASX 200 rebounded from the one-year low as the country’s PPI eased slightly in Q3, the index is trading higher by 0.29 percent. Japan’s Nikkei is trading higher by 1.13 percent, despite Tokyo CPI inflation rising more than expected in October.

South Korea’s Kospi is trading higher by 0.33 percent. The Shanghai index erased early losses and is trading higher by 0.35 percent as China’s industrial profits grew at a slower rate of 11.9% in September, but showed signs of improvement over the first nine months of the year as Beijing stimulus measures supported the economic recovery.

Hang Seng extended its early gain and is trading higher by 0.99 percent. Elsewhere, the Straits Times is trading marginally lower, while Taiwan, SET Composite, and Jakarta Composite are trading higher at 9.15 am IST.
