Market Live Today 7 July: Indian stock markets are trading flat, Financial stocks are trading higher
Market Live Today 7 July: Indian stock markets opened flat on Wednesday amid negative cues from the global markets. Nifty opened at 15819.60 levels, only 1.35 points up from the previous close. Sensex made a slightly higher opening at 52919.71levels, up by 58.53 points. The Bank Nifty on spot levels opened at 35550.60 levels, down by 28.55 points.
At 9.50 am IST, Indian stock market indexes, Sensex and Nifty are trading almost flat. The Bank Nifty on the spot levels trading higher by 0.13 percent at this moment.
HDFC, Bajaj Finance, and Bajaj Finserve are trading as the top gainers in the Nifty 50 index whereas ONGC, Tata Motor, and Titan are trading as the top losers. The most active stocks in the Nifty 50 index are Tata Motors, Bajaj Finance, and HDFC.
On a sectoral basis, the Finance, Real Estate, and Banking sectors are trading in the green whereas Oil & Gas, Automobiles, IT & Software, and Metals sectors are trading in the red.
Indian stock markets are likely to open lower

Asian markets are trading in the red on Wednesday tracking the negative cues from the U.S markets overnight. Nikkei and Hang Seng are trading lower by 0.96 percent and 0.75 percent respectively while Shanghai is trading 0.13 percent down. SGX Nifty is trading 65 points down at 15776 levels. The global markets cues are negative today, the Indian stock markets are likely to open lower today.
The U.S stock market indexes mostly closed in the red on Tuesday, as traders returned back to the desk from a long weekend after Friday’s high. The U.S market indexes, Dow Jones and S&P 500 fell 0.60 percent and 0.20 percent respectively. The tech-heavy Nasdaq Composite was closed higher by 0.17 percent on Tuesday.
European market indexes closed lower on Tuesday as government bond yields across the eurozone fell to their lowest levels in at least three weeks. European market indexes FTSE and CAC closed lower by 0.89 percent and 0.91 percent respectively while DAX slipped 0.96 percent on Tuesday.
Indian stock markets erased all intraday gains and closed in the red on Tuesday. The key benchmark indices, Sensex and Nifty fell 0.04 percent and 0.10 percent respectively. FIIs were the seller and DIIs were the buyers in the cash market segment. FIIs sold Rs 543.30 crores while DIIs bought Rs 521.30 crore in the cash market segment on Tuesday.

On Tuesday, the housing brokerage firm PropTiger reported that sales of residential properties plunged 76 percent during April-June in 2021 across eight cities compared to the previous quarter due to sluggish demand because of the second wave of Coronavirus infection. According to the data, housing sales stood at 15968 units during April-June 2021 as compared to 66176 units in the previous quarter.
