Stock Market live: Indices trading lower; Nifty trading below 17700

 

Stock Market Live Updates Today 9 March 2023: Indian stock market indexes made a positive start on Thursday amid mixed global cues. The Nifty index opened at 17772.05 levels up by 17.65 points while Sensex made a positive opening of 119 points at 60467.09 levels. Soon after opening markets turned red and are trading with losses.

Traders remain cautious and sidelined ahead of the release of the closely watched US monthly jobs report on Friday.  Some volatility will remain in the markets on account of the weekly F&O expiry later in the day.

Meanwhile, investors were concerned as penciling in just 4 percent GDP growth for the fourth quarter, India Ratings said the final growth numbers for the full year will be lower than the second advance estimate of 7 percent. 

 

Stock Market Live Today 

 

Market Live at 12.10 pm IST, the Indian stock market indices, Sensex, and Nifty are trading lower by 0.38 percent and 0.40 percent respectively. The Bank Nifty is trading volatile currently down by 0.11 percent at 12.10 pm IST. The broader markets are outperforming the benchmarks at this moment, as the Nifty midcap index is trading higher by 0.20 percent while smallcap index is trading up by 0.09 percent

Among the sectors, Nifty Metal, Financial Services, and Energy sectors are trading higher whereas Auto FMCG and IT are trading in the red. The top gaining stocks in the Nifty 50 index are Tata Steel, NTPC, and Cipla, and the top losing stocks are Adani Enterprise, Adani Port, and M&M
