Stock Market Live: Indian stock market indices opened flat on Tuesday, amid negative cues from Asian markets. The Nifty index opened flat to negative, down by 3.1 points at 18752.35 levels, while Sensex also opened slightly higher by 8.47 points at 63176.77 levels. Market Live at 9.45 am IST, the Indian stock market indices, Sensex and Nifty are trading lower by 0.41 percent and 0.35 percent respectively. The Bank Nifty is also trading lower by 0.41 percent at 9.45 IST. The broader markets are also trading mixed today, as the Nifty midcap index is trading lower by 0.04 percent while the Nifty smallcap index is trading higher by 0.10 percent.
Among the sectors, the Nifty PSU Bank, Metal, and IT are trading higher while Media, FMCG, and Financial Services are trading lower.
The top-gaining stocks in the Nifty 50 index are HDFC Life, SBI Life, Adani Enterprise, Power Grid, and Dr. Reddy and the top losing stocks are Bajaj Finance, HUL, Bajaj Finserve. Hero Motors, Asian Paints, and M&M.
The most active stocks in NSE in terms of value are Adani Enterprise, HDFC Life, and HDFC in terms of volume Tata Steel, HDFC Life, and Tata Motors.

Asian stock market indexes are trading lower on Tuesday, despite China’s central bank cutting the 1-year & 5- year loan prime rates by 10 bps each for the first time since August 2022 to boost economic growth. Nikkei is trading volatile, erased intraday gains, and is trading negatively.
Kospi is trading marginally lower by 0.09 percent, while Hang Seng is leading the losses in the region. Shanghai and other key indexes in the region like Straits Times, Taiwan, and Set Composite all are trading lower on Tuesday at this moment.
