Stock Market Live: Indices near day’s high; all sectors in green

 

Stock Market Live Updates Today 6 March 2023: It was a gap-up opening for the Indian stock market indexes on Monday, tracking positive cues from the global markets. The Nifty index opened at 17680.35, up by 86 points while Sensex made a positive opening of 198 points at 60007.04 levels. The benchmark indices extended their early gains and are trading higher by around one percent each.

Sensex and Nifty are trading in high spirits in the morning deals, trading above their crucial 60,300 and 17,750 levels, respectively. FIIs inflows aided the domestic markets. The National Stock Exchange`s (NSE) provisional data showed foreign institutional investors (FII) bought shares worth Rs 246.24 crore on March 3.

The sentiment was also boosted, as Commerce and Industry Minister Piyush Goyal said India`s goods and services exports are expected to cross $750 billion this fiscal despite the global economic uncertainties.

Meanwhile, the Indian rupee strengthened against the greenback in early deals on Monday, aided by the pullback in the dollar index and U.S. yields. Rupee is trading at 81.80, 16 paise higher as compared to its previous close of 81.97 on Friday

 

Stock Market Live Today 

 

Market Live at 11.30 am IST, the Indian stock market indices, Sensex and Nifty are trading higher by 0.90 percent and 0.98 percent respectively. The Bank Nifty erased some early gains and is trading higher by 0.38 percent at 11.30 am IST. The broader markets are trading strong now, as Nifty midcap and smallcap indexes are trading higher by 1 percent and 1.38 percent respectively.

Among the sectors, all sectoral indices are trading higher at this moment, the top leading sectors are Metals, Energy, and IT. The three gaining stocks in the Nifty 50 index are Adani Enterp, Adani Ports, and Power Grip whereas the losing stocks are Britannia, Kotak Bank, and Ultratech Cement.
