Stock Market Today: Nifty Below 21550, Sensex Tumbles 802 Pts, Energy Slump

Stock market live today 22 April

Stock Market Today 30 January 2024: Indian stock market indexes ended with major losses on Tuesday. The domestic markets opened higher following positive global cues, indices traded volatile in the morning session and then slipped into red.

The equity benchmarks traded in red in most of the session on the back of selling in heavyweight stocks including Bajaj Finance, Reliance Industries, ITC, and Bajaj Finserv companies. Meanwhile, investors remained cautious ahead of India`s interim budget, the Federal Reserve`s interest-rate decision, and a slew of key U.S. economic data due later this week for directional cues.

However, the downside was limited as traders took some encouragement after the finance ministry said India is expected to become the third-largest economy in the world with a GDP of $5 trillion in the next three years and touch $7 trillion by 2030 on the back of continued reforms.
