News you should read before the trade setup for Thursday 28 July 2022.

On Wednesday, the government informed parliament that as the geopolitics tension persists, it elevates the global commodity prices including crude oil. The CAD ( Current Account Deficit) of net commodity importers including India continued to remain under stress.

The CAD in the Balance of Payments (BOP) changed from a surplus of 0.9% of GDP in 2020-21 to a deficit of 1.2% in 2021-22 on the back of rising economic activity in India as the nation completed its economic recovery from the pandemic induced contraction of GDP.

The crude oil prices are trading higher on Thursday, extending gains from the previous session. The bounceback in oil prices is due to lower crude inventories and higher gasoline demand in the United States. The Brent crude oil which was trading below $100 per barrel is now trading above $103 on Thursday morning.
