Trade setup for Tuesday– Good morning and welcome to the morning reports, the top things to know before the stock market opens today April 19, 2022
Asian markets are trading mostly in the green after a sharp selloff in the previous session. Hang Seng is trading in the deep red, down by 1.88 percent, as traders are back after a long weekend. Nikkei and Shanghai are trading slightly higher by 0.33 percent and 0.03 percent respectively.
SGX Nifty is also trading higher by 46 points or 0.27 percent at 17272 levels. The indication getting from the Asian markets is positive, the Indian stock market indexes are likely to open in the green today.
The US and European market Indexes update
The US market indexes closed slightly lower on Monday as traders contrasted Bank of Amedica’s positive earnings with rising Treasury bond yields ahead of further earnings cues scheduled this week. Trading volumes were thin as traders were back after the Easter holiday. The US market indexes Dow Jones and S&P 500 slipped 0.11 percent and 0.02 percent while Nasdaq futures was down by 0.14 percent on Monday.

Indian stock market updates
Indian stock markets were closed lower on Monday amid weak cues from Asian markets, weaker than expected quarterly results, and surging covid cases in Delhi, NCR, and Maharashtra. The key benchmark indices, Sensex and Nifty closed lower by 2.01 percent and 1.73 percent respectively.
FIIs were the sellers and DIIs were the buyers in the cash segment. FIIs sold Rs 6387.45 crore while DIIs bought Rs 3341.96 crore in the equity cash segment on Monday.

Top news and updates you should know before the trade setup for Tuesday, April 19, 2022.
On Monday, according to the preliminary data of the commerce ministry, the country’s export increased by 37.01 percent to $18.79billion during the period of 1-14 April 2022 on the back of healthy growth in sectors like petroleum, gems, and jewelry. The exports during the same period in the last year stood at $13.72 billion. The import during the same period in the current year also increased by 12.24 percent to $25.84 billion, as the data showed.
On Tuesday, crude oil prices are trading slightly higher, Brent crude oil June futures price is trading at $ 112.91 per barrel, up by 0.22% at 7.25 am IST.
